The metal siding is going up on the studio building. It’s 7/8″ corrugated galvalume. Galvalume is used when one doesn’t want to have a paint finish. The 7/8″, as opposed to the 1/2″, is a bit more substantial looking and has more resistance to bending. I think it’s 24 gauge which is the thickness of the metal. Gauge requirements are based on the spacing of the framing that supports the metal. On the lower studio, the posts are at approximately 4′ apart. Notice the ford in the foreground of the last image? That’s the rental car since Sarah’s car was stolen and mine is in the shop again after the full transmission replacement in August. When it rains…
